Revive your treasured leather pieces with our specialised restoration services
Leather furniture is a timeless addition to any home or office, known for its elegance, comfort, and durability. However, even the most durable leather can show signs of wear and tear over time. This is where Tuft & Weave’s leather restoration services come into play. Maintain the beauty and comfort of your furniture while significantly extending its lifespan. Let us restore your cherished pieces to look as good as new, preserving their original charm and functionality.
Dust, dirt, and oils accumulate on leather surfaces over time, dulling their appearance. We use specialised products to thoroughly clean and remove impurities without damaging the leather.
Skilled technicians mend any cracks and tears with specialist techniques to make the repairs untraceable. This ensures that your furniture retains its structural integrity.
Exposure to sunlight and regular use can cause fading or discolouration. Our restorers use high-quality dyes to match the original colour, restoring your furniture's vibrant appearance.
Conditioning is essential for maintaining the suppleness of leather. We apply it after cleaning and recolouring to nourish the leather and prevent it from drying and cracking in the future.
Finally, a protective coating is applied to shield your leather from future damage. This layer acts as a barrier against spills and stains while enhancing the overall resilience of your leather.
There are several different varieties of leather available on the market, each of which has its own characteristics. Because each leather is unique, different methods and finishes are needed to repair and restore each leather type
Pigmented or protected leather is the most durable and low-maintenance type of leather. A layer of coloured pigment is applied to the surface of the leather to give it a vibrant and uniform appearance. A clear protective topcoat is applied over the pigment. This type of leather requires regular cleaning and conditioning (moisturising) to remove abrasive dust and clean any buildup of body oil, sweat, and general dirt, preventing permanent damage to the leather.
We recommend: You can clean Pigmented leather yourself every 3–6 months, but you should have it professionally cleaned every 6–12 months. Contact us to learn more about our leather cleaning and protection services.
Aniline is the purest form of leather, made from high-quality hides. It’s a full-grain leather that has been dyed, but not pigmented or protected. Aniline can fade easily. And because it has no protective topcoat, it can absorb stains and spillages quickly, especially body and head oils.
We recommend: You should have your Aniline leather protected before use and ensure it is professionally cleaned, conditioned (moisturised) and protected every 6–12 months to maintain its natural beauty and prolong its life. Call us to find out about protecting your new aniline leather furniture.
Like Aniline, Semi-aniline is a full-grain leather with a fine layer of pigment and an even colour. It sometimes has a light coating that gives it protection. Semi-aniline leather feels soft and warm to the touch, and will be smooth-looking, sometimes with natural scars visible. While not as absorbent as Aniline, Semi-aniline leather may absorb spillages after a short time, which will leave the area of spillage darker.
We recommend: You should ensure your Semi-aniline leather is professionally cleaned, conditioned (moisturised) and protected every 6–12 months to maintain its natural beauty and prolong its life. Contact us to learn about protecting your new semi-aniline leather furniture
Nubuck is the softest and most expensive type of leather. It will have a ‘nap’ on the surface that is velvety to the touch and will change the shade of the leather if you run your hand across it in different directions. Being a natural Aniline leather and buffed, Nubuck is very soft. However, it’s also very absorbent, which makes it susceptible to staining and challenging to clean and maintain.
Suede leather has similar characteristics to Nubuck leather, but it is made from the flesh side of the leather, not the top grain. We recommend: Ensure that Nubuck and suede leather are professionally protected before use, and have your furniture professionally cleaned and protected regularly. Call us to learn more about protecting your new nubuck and suede leather furniture.
Made from high-quality hides, Pull-Up leather is an Aniline leather that has been treated with an oil or wax finish. It is designed to develop a distressed look over time. Due to the protection provided by the layer of wax or oil, Pull-Up leather is more durable than pure Aniline leather.
We recommend that you have Pull-Up leather professionally cleaned regularly, every 6-12 months, to revitalise the wax or oil finish.

Yes. Chesterfield leather repair and restoration is our passion.
I was about to buy a new leather lounge as our current 20 year something lounge was showing a lot of wear which I didn't realise was fixable when I came across Tuff & Weave on the internet. From the first contact Jihad was extremely professional. Jihad and his staff member spent 3 hours painstakingly repairing the lounge and kept me informed through the whole process. I am absolutely thrilled with the result and feel like I have a brand new lounge. I can't recommend Jihad highly enough.
I cannot commend Jihad and the team enough. The quality of the service was excellent and we are so happy with the look of our lounges. They were 13 years old and we were thinking that it may have been better to purchase new lounges, but after Jihad worked on them, we think we may easily get another 13 years!!! He is passionate, polite, prompt and an exceptional practitioner in leather lounge restoration. Thank you.
I highly recommend Tuft and Weave for cleaning and restoring leather seatings. Jihad was very knowledgeable and takes great pride in his work. He also gave a detailed explanation of what treatment would be best for our job. It was a real pleasure dealing with him.
