Unlike standard protectors that fade quickly, our advanced treatment provides sustained performance, lasting through multiple professional cleans and up to 3–4 years of use.
WoolSafe® and CleanSeal® approved, our protector is suitable for both natural and synthetic fibres, including wool, linen, viscose, jute, and sisal, as well as fine leathers such as suede, nubuck, and aniline.
Whether protecting a family sofa, a corporate boardroom, or a designer’s bespoke installation, Tuft & Weave is the first choice for Sydney’s most discerning homeowners, commercial spaces, and interior designers.
While DIY fabric protectors might seem convenient, they often fall short in providing the level of care your fabrics truly need. Here’s why our expert fabric protection is the best choice for your furniture, rugs, and carpets:
Complete Coverage: We ensure every inch of your fabric gets the care it needs. No missed spots or uneven coverage.
Tailored to Your Needs: We customise our treatments for different fabric types, ensuring that delicate materials and high-traffic areas receive the right protection.
Long-Lasting Results: Our professional-grade fibre protectors last longer, giving you peace of mind and reducing the need for frequent touch-ups.
Preserve Fabric Quality: Our treatments help maintain the texture, colour, and feel of your upholstery, preventing the fading and wear that DIY products can cause over time.
Expert Application: Our experienced team knows the best techniques and products to use for each type of fabric, ensuring optimal results without the risk of damage.
Save Time and Effort: We’ll handle the work so you can relax, knowing your rugs, carpets, and couch fabrics are getting the protection they deserve.
At Tuft & Weave, we know that maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of your soft furnishings requires ongoing effort. That’s why our regular maintenance cleaning program is designed to keep your upholstery, rugs, and carpets looking their best year after year with minimal effort on your part.
Here’s why our clients love our ongoing cleaning service:
We set up a cleaning schedule that works for you, whether quarterly, bi-annually, or annually. This ensures that your soft furnishings receive the consistent care they need to stay fresh and clean.
We tailor our cleaning plans to your specific needs, whether you have delicate fabrics or high-traffic areas. We take into account your materials, usage patterns, and environment to provide the most effective care.
Over time, dust, allergens, and bacteria can accumulate in your upholstery and carpets, affecting the air quality in your home or office. Our thorough cleaning service removes these harmful particles, creating a healthier environment for you, your family, or your employees.
While regular cleaning might seem like an additional expense, it actually saves you money in the long run. By addressing issues early on, such as dirt buildup or fabric damage, you avoid costly repairs or replacements.
Unless you keep your soft furnishings and carpet covered with plastic sheets, no amount of protection will keep your surfaces 100% clean. But a good fabric protector will at least give your soft furnishings and carpet a fighting chance.

Decorgard fibre protection is applied by one of our qualified technicians and then is left to ‘cure’ for approximately 2–4 hours. For optimal protection, surfaces are best left for 24 hours before using.
Decorgard works by repelling both water and oil-based stains for long enough that you can soak up any spills before the fibre is stained permanently. It also repels dirt and dust, making it easier to vacuum dry soil off before it penetrates the fibre pile and causes permanent damage via abrasion.
Applying Decorgard to your upholstery, rugs and carpets will provide you with sustained protection. But it isn’t a ‘set and forget’ solution. Decorgard protection should generally by reapplied every 2–3 years, or after 1–2 professional cleans. It provides longer-lasting protection than other products on the market, many of which last up to one year only.
Keep in mind you’ll need to protect the frequently used lounge in the living room more often than the lounge in the ‘spare room’. The cleaning method and products used will also affect how often fibre protection should be applied. Highly alkaline cleaning products used by other cleaning services will inadvertently break down the protection you have invested in and will need to be re-applied sooner. Highly acidic spills, such as pet urine, will also accelerate the breakdown of the protection.
We stand by the quality of our service at Tuft & Weave. If you’re not sure what upholstery or carpet protection is needed, or if you have tried it before and it hasn’t met your expectations, ask us for a free demonstration. We’ll be happy to show you how effective it can be.
